Release of the ISU World Cup Speed Skating Final (March,18)

The 2nd day of The ISU World Cup Speed Skaters Final began with the ladies 500m 2nd race. The winner of this competition was the representative of Russia Angelina Golikova. The 2nd place belonged to Vanessa Herzog from Austria. Olga Fatkulina from Russia was on the 3rd place.

The Men 500m 2nd race started right after the previous one. This time Jan Smeekens, Dai Dai Ntab and Hein Otterspeer from the Netherlands became the medal winners. They were on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

In the Ladies 1500m race the Japanese speed skater Miho Takagi showed the best result. The 2nd place belonged to Marrit Lenstra from the Netherlands. Lotte Van Beek from the Netherlands got the 3rd position.

The following race was the Men 1500m. Sverre Lunde Pedersen from Norway became the winner. The 2nd place went to the representative of Russia Denis Yuskov. Allan Dahl Johansson from Norway turned out to be the 3rd in the race.

The next in the competition was the Ladies Team Sprint. It finished with the following results: the 1st place went to the team of Russia, the 2nd place – to the team of the Netherlands, the 3rd place – to the Norwegian team.

Right after the Ladies Team Sprint started the Men Team Sprint. The team of Norway became the 1st. On the position lower there was the team of Poland. The Russian team gained bronze medals.

The Ladies Mass Start continued the event. Ayano Sato from Japan turned out to be the 1st. The 2nd place went to the Canadian skater Ivanie Blondin. Francesca Lollobrigida from Italy took the 3rd position.

In the Men Mass Start the skater from the Netherlands Simon Schouten won a gold medal. A silver medal went to the athlete from Japan Shota Nakamura. The representative of Russia Danila Semerikov became the bronze medalist.
